PEI has done an excellent job at supporting the traditional economy while creating the right conditions for the growth of the new economy. It helps to have a roadmap to development and the PEI BioAlliance has been very instrumental in facilitating this process for our company.

Steve Howatt, M.Sc. (Agr.), P.Ag. (Vice Chair)
(President & AGM, Atlantic AgriTech Inc.)

Prior to his recent return to Atlantic AgriTech, Steve oversaw the development of crop production and processing operations for Nature's Crops International PEI operations. And prior to his role at NCI, Steve was operator of Atlantic AgriTech Inc., a PEI based company providing agricultural and environmental research services throughout Eastern Canada. Steve obtained his B.Sc. in Agriculture, specializing in Plant Protection, from the Nova Scotia Agricultural College, followed by an M.Sc. in Agriculture from Macdonald College of McGill University in 1992. He is a Professional Agrologist (P.Ag.) with the PEI Institute of Agrologists, a member of the National Alliance of Independent Crop Consultants (NAICC), and serves as Vice Chair of the Prince Edward Island BioAlliance.
