Patrick Dorsey
(Vice President, ACOA Prince Edward Island and Tourism, Chair of the Prince Edward Island Federal Regional Council)


Patrick Dorsey was appointed Vice President, ACOA Prince Edward Island and Tourism in 2007. He is also Chair of the Prince Edward Island Federal Regional Council. Before joining ACOA in 2007, Mr. Dorsey worked in leadership roles with the Government of Prince Edward Island, including Senior Policy Advisor to the premier for seven years. He has extensive policy development and program delivery experience, specifically in the areas of community development and economic renewal, intergovernmental affairs and corporate communications.

A native of Prince Edward Island, Mr. Dorsey holds a Bachelor of Arts from UPEI and a Masters of Public Administration from Dalhousie University. He is an alumnus of the PEI Public Service Commission’s Management Program.

Patrick Dorsey served as Provincial Government Chair of the United Way Campaign; as a board member of several organizations, including the UPEI Alumni Association and the Duke of Edinburgh Awards Council; and, as a lay member of the Law Society of PEI Disciplinary Committee.
