UPEI Offers New Course: Introduction to Bioinformatics

Bioinformatics is a rapidly growing area and bio-related industry plays an increasingly important role in PEI. As such, there are potential local needs for bioinformatics knowledge and bioinformatics professionals.UPEI is responding to a recent study on the bioinformatics sector on PEI (Adventus Research 2005) by offering a new bioinformatics training program.
"Introduction to Bioinformatics" is set to run in the Spring 2006 semester (January - April) and is cross-listed as a Computer Science course (CS322) and a Biology course (BIO322).
