Federal Government Releases Economic Growth Target Report
Tuesday, February 7, 2017
The federal government’s Economic Advisory Council, chaired by Dominique Barton, has released its second report . While there are six ‘sections’ to the report - the following three are particularly important to our work: Summary; Key Sectors; and Innovation. AgriFood has been selected as the first pilot of their recommended ‘sector strategy development’ approach & interestingly, aquaculture is included there as a growth opportunity area. Assuming the federal government adopts these recommendations, this will have a major influence in federal economic development policy over the next several years.

We mourn the senseless death of all six victims, and the knowledge that one of them worked among us brings the tragedy even closer to home. We stand in support of our many Muslim friends here in PEI and across the world.
