NEW Fermentation and Downstream Processing Equipment Suite

In the fall of 2017, the BioAlliance unveiled a new suite of fermentation and downstream processing equipment for the scale-up/pilot scale manufacturing needs of the region’s biotechnology industry. The suite of equipment is located at Bioscience Manufacturing Incubator in Charlottetown.

Pilot Spray Drying System

  • Processing capacity 5-20kg/hr @ 50% solid content
  • Evaporation rate 2-10kg/hr @ 150-320 degrees
  • Control system – Siemens PLC and touch screen HMI
