The National Research Council of Canada recently welcomed Grant Sullivan, the new Executive Director of the Industrial Research Assistance Program (NRC IRAP) for the Atlantic and Nunavut region. Prior to joining NRC, Mr. Sullivan spent more than 20 years working in the private sector where he oversaw teams providing in information technology consulting and solutions to Canadian and international clients. He also served in the Canadian Navy and operated his own company. Mr. Sullivan is actively involved in his communities. He serves as a part time faculty member and industry advisory board member at Dalhousie University, is a board member of the Strongest Families Institute, and is an active volunteer with Scouts Canada. Located in over 100 communities across Canada, NRC-IRAP offers its expertise in all industry sectors and promotes the development and commercialization of technology of small- and medium-sized enterprises across Canada through comprehensive suite of advisory services and funding.
