NOTICE OF APPOINTMENT

The Prince Edward Island BioAlliance is pleased to announce the appointment of Amy McQuillan as Director of Finance.

Amy will be responsible for the overall financial management of the PEI BioAlliance, including financial administration for Emergence, Canada's bioscience business incubator, and the Eastern Canada Oilseeds Development Alliance (ECODA).

Amy's strong financial management and administration background as well as her experience in capital projects will be key assets for the PEI BioAlliance. Her consultative and collaborative approach in the workplace is well-matched with the facilitator and catalyst functions of the bioscience cluster, making her a welcome addition to the BioAlliance team.

Prior to joining the PEI BioAlliance, Amy held increasingly senior finance roles at Atlantic Canadian news, media, and entertainment businesses. Amy is a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) and earned a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from Saint Mary's University's Sobey School of Business and a Bachelor of Science degree (Biology) from the University of Prince Edward Island.

Since 2005, the PEI BioAlliance has coordinated the development and growth of the province's bioscience cluster and established the conditions for business success. The cluster creates high-quality, Island-based jobs in the areas of human, animal, and fish health and nutrition. The PEI BioAlliance is a partnership of 58 businesses, academic and research institutions, and federal and provincial government agencies, dedicated to establishing the bioscience sector as a key pillar in the economic foundation of the province and Atlantic Canada. www.peibioalliance.com
