A robust Canadian life sciences ecosystem from coast to coast to coast is essential to Canadians’ health, foundational to health sovereignty, and underpins our innovation economy.

The recently published Pharmaceutical and Life Sciences Sector Task Force: Report to the Ministers of Health and Industry assessed the vital signs of Canada’s life sciences ecosystem. The report also articulates a clear prognosis for life sciences to realize its promise as a strategic, nation-building sector, addressing deeper investment gaps to improve Canadians’ access to care while reaping the full value of existing innovation investments and to advance future economic potential.
